Look at that belly!

I took this picture hoping it would be a picture of my last day being pregnant. But here I am, two days later, still wondering when this baby is going to make his debut. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the baby has dropped. I'm having a really hard time getting my pants up around my belly the last few days, not to mention the difficulty I'm having walking. I had a Dr's appointment yesterday, and I am making a little progress, but its looking like I'll probably go over my due date (which is Friday). Baby is still squirming around, totally healthy, so we're just trying to patient with nature. Work is becoming less and less fun. My students can't believe I'm still working. They're very sweet and very concerned about me. Several of them offered to drive me to the hospital if I go into labor at school. They don't seem to understand that labor is a very long process. I think they watch too much TV.
On top of trying to predict our baby's birthday, we're also feeling some stress about our apartment managing responsibilities. We had a tenant move out over the weekend, and he decided that he'd rather just pay than clean the apartment himself. We've been through this before, but the problem this time is that we've already got the unit rented (isn't that supposed to be a good thing?). The new tenants are supposed to move in on Saturday. So we've got to scrub walls, clean the bathroom, the kitchen, everything, plus schedule guys to come in and paint, clean the carpets and do all the repairs by Friday night. On top of regular life and having a baby. And I can't even help with the cleaning that much. I can't bend over and James doesn't want me standing on the step stool (he's afraid I'll fall off). So my poor husband is in there on his hands and knees scrubbing floors all by himself. He sure is a trooper.
Here's to hoping I've got some good news to report in my next entry. ;)
